DCA exam is meant for enterprise practitioners leveraging the Docker Enterprise Edition (EE) platform in production. 3. How to become Docker Certified?

5. What is the fee for Docker certification exams?
The registration fee for the Associate Exam is $195 or €175 for one exam attempt.
6. Any discounts provided by Dockers for the exam?
Discounts are available on the purchase of multi-packs of 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 exams.
7. What equipment is needed to take the online remotely proctored exam?
The equipment that is required for online remotely proctored exams:
A current version of Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X.
Google Chrome web browser and the ability to install a Chrome extension.
A web camera accessible by Google Chrome.
8. What is the passing score to earn a Docker Certification exam?
Exam questions and passing scores for Docker Certification exam are subject to change without notice and therefore, passing score for this exam is not published.
9. When do the candidates get their exam results?
After the completion of exam, candidates receive results via score report immediately on the testing screen. They can also request for the score via an email sent to the email address associated with their Docker ID profile post exam.
10. What is the validity period of the certification?
This certification will be valid for 2 years. Candidates need to update their certification every 2years.
11. What are the rules followed during the exam?
  • Security Procedures applied during the examination are:
  • Notes/books not allowed
  • Personal items like electronic devices (including mobile phones), watches, food and beverage etc. are not allowed.
  • Smoking, eating, or drinking is prohibited during the exam
  • Copying or communicating examination content may lead to the disqualification or legal action under copyright Docker.
  • Identification rules

Government-issued identification (e.g., Driver’s License, State ID, Passport) with candidate’s signature, full legal name, and photograph must be shown.

  • All identification shown must match the name on the registration form and Examination Eligibility Form.
  • No-Show Policy

Candidates may start their exam up to 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time.

Candidates must start your exam no later than 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. Failing this, system will mark No Show to the candidates and they won’t be allowed for the exam.

12. How to cancel the exam?
Candidates can reschedule or cancel the exam 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time. After that the exam fees will be forfeited.
13. Can the candidates retake the exam if not passed it in the 1st attempt?

Retake of the exam is allowed with the conditions

  • Retake can be attempted after 14days from the first attempt
  • Exam price has to be paid for each attempt.
14. How to get the certificate after passing the exam?
Candidates receive certificate access within 48 business hours after taking the exam to the email they used to create their Docker ID. Sometimes certificate credentials reach to the spam folders so one must check that as well.
15. What Examity (online applications/services) requirements need to be fulfilled for taking an exam?
